Micah is a 33-year-old Army veteran who was born and raised in Arkansas. At 17, she enlisted in the military, where she completed two tours with Army Aviation. She reflects on flying in Blackhawks as one of the most exciting experiences of her life.
Having grown up camping frequently, she developed a deep love for the wild and outdoors. Her current mission is to bring awareness to the struggles veterans face and to advocate for outdoor therapy. To this end, she has teamed up with Warriors in the Wild, an opportunity that combines her passions for the military, outdoor life, and vehicle building.
Micah believes her purpose in life is not simply to live to work, but rather to pursue freedom and create meaningful memories. For her, this is best achieved by spending as much time as possible in the outdoors.

While Jared has not served in the military, he comes from a legacy of service; his father is a Vietnam veteran and his grandfather was a WWII veteran. Jared grew up with both of his parents playing active roles in the VFW & Auxiliary, supporting veterans and helping them get the assistance they need. His father's work was even recognized with a Lifetime Achievement award for the difference he made.
Inspired by his family, Jared has developed the same passion for helping veterans in any way he can. He has helped start many different non-profits and knows the ins and outs of the legal process behind them. When he is not actively helping veterans, he and his wife own Shop Overland Apparel, where you can find Warriors In The Wild merchandise as well as products from other storytellers and businesses in the overlanding community.

Joseph's life has been defined by service, both to his country and to his fellow veterans. As a 20-year U.S. Coast Guard veteran, he worked on a Canine Explosive Detection Team (CEDT) with his trusted partner, Sirius. This commitment to service is a family tradition, shared by his father, uncle, and brother, who are all veterans. Blending his passions, Joe recently completed an impressive 650-mile trek along the Florida Trail to raise funds and awareness for Warriors in the Wild. When he's not on a mission-driven hike, he can be found backpacking, camping, and embracing his "feral" side in the wilderness.
Warriors in the Wild is an organization dedicated to providing veterans and their families with opportunities to engage in outdoor recreational activities. Through these activities, the organization seeks to promote healing and well-being among veterans struggling with physical or emotional wounds. The experiences offered by Warriors in the Wild are designed to help veterans connect with nature, find solace in the outdoors, and build supportive relationships with others who have shared similar experiences.
In addition to offering recreational opportunities, we actively assist veterans in connecting with essential resources and support within their local communities. Our goal is to ensure that veterans have access to the mental health services, employment assistance, and social support they need to thrive. By fostering these connections, we help veterans build strong support networks and find their footing as they navigate civilian life.
Warriors in the Wild fosters a sense of community, purpose, and camaraderie by encouraging veterans who have attended one of our therapeutic retreats to volunteer at future events. This not only helps them give back but also strengthens their connections with fellow veterans and reinforces their own healing journey. By creating a cycle of support and engagement, we ensure that every veteran feels valued and empowered.
